Mittry Lake

Yesterday we very reluctantly pulled up stakes and left the desert. It was sad to leave such a wonderful group of fellow "Airstreamers" (we include Phil as well) but commitments call and we need to be in Yuma later today.

This is a free 10 day camping area and we are parked right by the water. The lake is surrounded by tall grasses and there is a vast variety of birds in the area. Perfect place to spend a day with your binoculars.

First a few pictures from our last "happy hour"
Here Jimmy and Phil trying to control Lucy.

Mike and Sheri enjoy some of the delicious dessert prepared by Tony.

Doesn't that look like something from a high-end restaurant, not from a trailer in the desert? Just superb.

It was so good we licked our plates clean. Here's the proof, the old gun-slinger might be slow on the draw but he's quick on the clean-up.

The ladies enjoy their dessert.

Our camp site Friday was right on Mittry Lake, Arizona.

Looking back at our trailer.

Relaxed by the lake.

Soon we will have solar panels across our roof. Can't wait for Paul to do the installations.

Sunset on Mittry Lake. Priceless!
