Lumber

Saturday we went to a plant sale in town.  WE had hoped to work outside but it was overcast and a gentle rain was tapping on our roof.

The economy here is based on lumber. There are at least four saw mills within a ten mile radius of Bancroft. The more trucks we see going through town, the better it is for the economy here.

Off to the lumber yard. Most of this wood is turned into rough sawn lumber used in the construction trade.

This truck is leaving with a load of sawdust. This is trucked to Quebec where it is turned into 4 x 8 sheets of building boards.

Entering Freymond's Lumber Yard on Bay Lake Road.

Truck with a pup trailer going through town.

Hope you had a good weekend.
