Thinking of Home

You can tell by looking at the pictures above what is on our mind. It is good to be back with friends in the desert but lately we have been thinking and talking about home. There is much to do this summer and with our first grandchild on the way and our house to finish we need to be turning north soon.

Yesterday we had the maps out and were looking at possible routes home. There is much to see and do in the west and so much of it we still haven't seen. I think when we leave Quartzsite we will head south to Organ Pipe Cactus National Park, then over to Chirachua National Monument, Bisbee, and Deming with stops along the way. Then if the weather warms up we will head north to Page and do the "Grand Circle" which will take us into southern Utah.  After that we will decide our route based on weather and sites to see. We do want to stop and see Paul and Anne in Texas so we will be doing some meandering before we reach the Canadian border.

So, Bob, if you are in our area let us know, it's always a pleasure to get together for breakfast.

Departure date is unknown and the actual route is uncertain but we will keep you posted and we should have plenty of pictures to share.

In the meantime we are enjoying camping with the gang and "happy hour" at Tony's place. The winter is disappearing very quickly and we are now getting daily temperatures in the low 30*C range.

Safe travels and thanks for stopping by.
