Passed Inspection

Today the building inspector was here before 7 a.m. Checked out the septic bed and installation, asked a few questions and we are good to go; sort of. Still need to install the bathrooms.

The bed has been covered and Mary has the clover seed ready to spread on the soil at the first sight of rain. It has been very hot and very dry here the past two weeks and the ground is like powder; no sense in planting in this weather.

Ben and I worked on the west side of the house in the morning installing 2x4s on the gable end. After lunch Ben work his magic with the bobcat on the bunkie site. We want it level and ready for the delivery in two weeks.

While we worked, Mary had to attend to her "girls" Today was the first day they were allowed out of their pen. Very cautiously they ventured forth, staying close to each other. What would you expect, they're hens.

The best part of the day, a dip in the lake. Love those noddles for keeping us afloat. Ohhhhhhhhhhh cool water, sunshine, and a sandy beach. When are you coming up to enjoy it?

Thanks for stopping by.
