Drywall Day Two

We did it! Thanks to Carol and Don we were able to get all the drywall cut and installed in the "Great-Room". It was a big job and I can't thank Don and Carol enough for making it all happen. Mary and Carol worked away at the detail items. Don cut and installed and made sure all the electrical boxes were exposed and I just filled in where needed. Just a tremendous effort to get it all done before Carol and Don left last night. Thank you a thousand times. Your support, assistance and encouraging words mean far more than you realize.

Today we are off to Ottawa to get our IKEA kitchen cupboards, so just a few pictures from yesterdays work bee.

My sister Carol on her knees cutting drywall to fit around the windows. A perfect fit.

Did I say a perfect fit, yes.

Chipping away at the block so the last piece will fit properly. By now Mary's arms are about to fall off, but she persevered and got the job gone.

Don's looking a little tired. I think at this stage we were all ready for a break.

The last piece going into place.

Team work, co-operation and Mary singing got us through the day.

Now lets see where we should take that vacation Art promised?

  1. Art & Mary ...it is looking wonderful . You will be glad for a break even if it is just a drive to get the cupboards....now you are really moving along. You will be in that dream home before you know it.
