Last month Charlotte and Mary cut trails through the bush. Now that the snow has arrived our forest is a magic wonderland, perfect for those afternoon walks.
The trail goes past our three ponds .....
and is well marked with red tape so we won't get lost.
Yesterday, Mary discovered watercress growing in one of the little streams flowing into the pond. She was delighted as this will be used in our salads this summer. I remember my Mom going and picking watercress whenever we visited my uncle's farm.
Looks like more snow this morning as our sky is heavy with dark clouds. May need to soon get out the snowshoes.
